• Launching Ceremony of Frontier Disability Forum (FDF)
   
  "Frontier Disability Forum" (FDF) was organized by Special Life Foundation (SLF) & CHEF International on March 10, 2010. In which Steering Committee was formed, Saira Qadir became a Memeber of Staring Committee and will Represent "Women With Disabilities" 
   
  Provincial Minister of Social Welfare MS. Sitara Ayaz was Chief Guest. In her address as Chief Guest, extended her full cooperation and announced that all those responsible persons in Govt. Department would be punished if they illegally appointed other Non-disabled persons on the post that are reserved for persons with disabilities and the same news was also published in the News-papers.

• Patient's Treatment/ Daily Activities according to their needs and also their Orthopedic Development. 

• Independence Day was celebrated at the RCPD on August 14, 2009.

• RCPD Team went for Kashmir visit from June 16 to 19, 2009
  Visit was made to following 6 Network Centres: Muzafarabad, Seser, Bagh, Kotli, Rawlakot and Authmukam. Special visit was also organized to Chakoti near the line of control on June 17, 2009.

• CBR Training Closing and Oath Taking Ceremony Presided by President ARPD. The Ceremony held at RCPD Community hall,on June 16, 2009.

• Closing Ceremony of RCPD Disabled Cricket Tournament June 01, 2009 at ICMS, Univsersity of Peshawar. Mr. Ghulam Qadir, President RCPD was the Chief Guest. Mr. Distributed Prises among the winners

• Social Welfare Society, Kot Addu on May 13, 2009 some patients were also examined by our Physiotherapist.

• Free Medical Camp was arranged in Shikarpura on May 14, 2009.
   
  About 300 Disabled Patients were examined by Dr. Shakirullah, Physiotherapist and Mr. Kifayat Ullah, Phyio Technician
  Two Patients were provided with Wheel Chairs
  About 12 Amputees were referred to RCPD

• CBR Trainees Exposure Visit to Social Welfare Centre, Govt. of Pakistan, Hayatabad, Peshawar & Institute for the MentallyRetarded and Physically Handicapped Children on Thursday, 07, 2009.

• Pleasure Trip for Male Disabled Patients & Male Trainees on Tuesday, May 05, 2009 to Army Stadium, Peshawar.

• Pleasure Trip for Female Disabled Patents & Female Trainees on Monday, May 04, 2009 to Army Stadium, Peshawar.

• Death anniversary of Mrs. Farhat Rehman being observed on May 01, 2009.

• Lt. Col. (Retd.) Arshad Durrani has been expelled w.e.f. April 28, 2009 because of his undesirable character and activities. He was found to be a promoter of self under the cover of humanitarian activities on ARPD's platform. With his character traits, he is not suitable for any position in any welfare organization.
   

   

   

  Visit of Parlimentary Secretary Mrs. Farhat Gohar April 13, 2009. RCPD invited Mrs. Farhat to discuss some important issues of PWDs as an agenda which are very important to implement. Proposed points (i) Concept of CBR (ii) Policy Issues of Challanged People (iii) Areas of support (Duty free cars, Implementation of 2% quota, making of Ramps on each public place and implementation of Plan of action on disability, etc.). Some of our challanged people present there probles, shown a tabloue, a table tennis match.

   
  Mrs. Farhat donated Rs. 10,000/- from her personal account and annonced 1 Lakh from Prime Minister. (Published in many news papers and also telecost in many news channals.

   

• Adult Litracy Classes for Male & Female disabled and comminuty people from April 13, 2009

• Appointment of Physiotherapist--Mr. Shairullah (joined April 16, 2009)

• 28th CBR Training Course--April 07 to May 31, 2009.  Trainees for all over Pakistan are going to attend it  i.e. Sukkur & Shikarpur (Sindh), Muzafarabad (AJK) Hangu, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Talagang etc.
   

• One day (March 01, 2009) Relief Camp was conducted for civil war affectees in Saidu Sharif (Swat). Donated medicines, Rashan, Clothes, and Cash.

• Admitted Patients and staff went on picnic to Kund (Tourist Resort near Attock) on February 24, 2009.

• Three day eye camp was arranged with the collaboration of CHEF International & PICO from February 09 to 11, 2009

• Relief work visit to Swat (Nation Welfare Organization--one of our network partners)

• Mr. Sibghat ur Rehman's visited Thailand from Febrary 11 to 20, 2009 1st Asia – Pacific CBR Congress

                With collaboration among the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS), WHO, Foundation of Asia-Pacific Development Center on Disability (APCD Foundation) and UNESCAP and with great support from many stakeholders including international and national organizations, Mr. Wanlop Phloytabtim (Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security) is confident that this Congress will be a significant learning process as well as an important opportunity to bring together a diverse group of people who are involved in Community – based Rehabilitation (CBR).
