THREE MONTH BASIC COURSE IN CBR (8 HRS DAILY)

 

             

(Physiotherapy and Orthopedic Technology)

1.    Technical tasks (Multiple purpose Rehab Worker/ Therapy Assistant):

            Disabilities assessment, therapeutic interventions, family counseling, transfer of skills, making needed aids, referrals and team discussions as needed.

CBR CENTER MANAGEMENT/ SUPERVISION PROGRAM 

 

 

 

MONTESSORI / INCLUSIVE EDUCATION TRAINING

Training is also given to teachers for our Montessori and inclusive education system.

TRAINING AT ORTHOPEDIC WORKSHOP

Training is also given at the orthopedic workshop, in making calipers, corsets, leather jackets, walking frames, elbow crutches, simple crutches, corner chairs, etc.

TRAINING SEMINAR FOR RURAL WOMEN IN 

PREVENTION OF CHILDHOOD DISABILITIES & PRIMARY HEALTH CARE

We regularly conduct training seminars for rural women in prevention of childhood disabilities and primary health care.

 

 

 

 

Summary of training programs in 2006

Two 3-month CBR Training Courses for 53 personnel of 18 network partners were arranged on management of persons with disabilities at CBR level, including management of both small day-care centers and home programs.

2-week refresher courses for the 7 networking partners (with a total of 34 trainees) training workshops, introductory courses, seminars, and short courses were arranged for staff and other networking partners to update their knowledge and skill.

Parents counseling as home management training program widely done as a routing activity.

Staff and Executives of distant NGOs were provided with training in various specific fields and were helped in proposal writing for “Pakistan Taraqee Bazar”, Mazoori Majboori Nahin, a World Bank project (2005-2006) on disabilities.

Rural women health education / empowerment related programs / seminars were widely arranged.
